This story is about three kids, Poppy, Alice, and Zach that go on an adventure to bury a porcelain doll that has been haunted by a girl by the name of Eleanor Kerchner and if they do not succeed at their mission to bury Eleanor she will not let them rest peacefully when they die. Football math of the game

What skills do u need to play football sure you need yo be big and strong fast and physical. But did you know you need to be good at math too

believe it or not math is a big part of one of the roughest toughest sports around. from measuring yards and compelling statistics to calculating probability and figuring out angles there are a lot of numbers hidden inside plays allows quarterbacks to make better passes and makes defensive players better tacklers

Lets start where the action happens on the football field a national football league filed is 120 yards between the goal lines and two 10 yard end zones one on either end. The filed is 53 and a half wide a yard is their feet so many feet long and wide is a football filed

This quarter I read Popularity Papers #3 by Amy Ignatow. The series is about 2 girls named Julie and Lydia. They write and illustrate in their diary. In the third book, Their friend Sukie who lives in New York, looses her mother due to Cancer. Also, after months of living in the UK, Lydia moves back to America. Then Lydia and Julie make a bucket list. Only they don’t call it a bucket list. They call it a trunk list. Then they attempt to do those things. I think that anyone who likes Dork Diaries would like this series because they are very alike , Only in Popularity Papers, there is color and it is written by 2 people ( the main characters) .

I recently read Sweet Treats And Secret Crushes, and I’m going to give you a little summary on this book. Valentines Day is tomorrow and the three friends Olivia, Kate, and Georgia want to go to school because they all have something important going on that is in school, but their only problem is that there might be a snow storm tomorrow! Oh no! The snow storm has came! Now they cant do what they wanted to do on Valentines Day. So Kate and Olivia go hang out with Georgia and her mom and make fortune cookies for Georgia moms restaurant. These three girls have been friends for a while but their friendship is kind of slipping. What will happen with their friendship? Will they be best friends much longer? I really liked the book because there is a little mystery and it kind of connects to things that have happened in my life. I recommend this to people that are gossipy, shy, and crazy over your crush. The Wanderer, written by Sharon Creech, was originally published in the year 2000. It’s a novel and is not part of a series. Sharon Creech is a fantastic author and has written many great books, but The Wanderer is my favorite of them all. This book is about a 13 year old girl named Sophie who is going to sail across the Atlantic ocean to England to see her Bompie. Sophie is going to travel with her two cousins Cody and Brian, and her three uncles, Mo (Cody’s dad), Stew (Brian’s dad), and Dock (Sophie’s uncle). Will they make it across the ocean unscathed or will the ocean swallow them whole? I recommend this book to people who like realistic fiction and fictional books about sailing because The Wanderer is realistic fiction about sailing.

This book is called Diary Of A Wimpy kid The Third Wheel by Jeff Kinney. Jeff also has many other books in the series. Such as The Ugly Truth, Hard Luck, Old School, The Last Straw, Double Down, and many more. I like this book because its main character Greg Heffley just goes for everything and doesn’t let anything get in his way. Also, there are movies of the series
but since Double down is the newest one they are working on a movie now getting back
To the third wheel it starts as Greg is a baby and he is talking about how good his memory is and says that his memory is so good he remembers before he was born. After that part Greg’s school fundraised and got a lot of money so the student council of his school came up with the idea that since it was february they thought of throwing a valentine’s day dance and the girls were treating it as a middle school prom and so Greg was looking for someone to go with but
No one wanted to go with him so he bought this thing called Culture grams and bought a lot to make him look good then he finds a girl and takes her to the dance and he doesn’t know how to dance so he just held her hand and swayed it back and forth. That is my Quarter #2 Book Talk Book.

Calvin and Hobbes is a comic series made by Bill Waterson that ran through 1985-1995. The comic series is about a boy named Calvin who has a stuffed tiger named Hobbes who is real but only to Calvin. The series has comedy and has some sad moments. The main characters are Calvin, Hobbes, Calvin’s parents and some kids at school. The comics are really imaginative whether they are going on a adventure on riding their wagon down a hill. Calvin & Hobbes made me laugh and most other books fail to make me laugh. I suggest anyone who is looking for a laugh or for some imaginative fun then you should definitely read Calvin and Hobbes.

So this quarter I read the book I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. Its about nine aliens that look exactly like us humans but have extraordinary powers like enhanced strength, running speed, and jumping ability. They are from the planet Lorien. Sadly their planet was invaded by mogadorians, an evil race of aliens that can disguise themselves as humans. The nine lorien are members of a society called the guard. They are only teenagers so they have been assigned a person each to guide them and help them train to use their powers.
The main character is a teenage member of the guard named John Smith. Him and his guardian Henri move to Paradise Ohio to lay low so the mogodorians don’t find them. Each member is assigned a number from 1 to nine. They can only be killed in order unless their all grouped together. That’s why as soon as their ship landed on Earth they all had to separate. John settles in and makes a friend named Sam. Sam’s dad had gone missing one night and Sam thinks that aliens abducted him. John also meets a boy named Mark and let me just say that they don’t get along very well. John and the other members have to eventually face their biggest fears and fight for the fate of both Lorien and Earth. The reason why I picked up this book is because it was recommended to me. On a scale of one to ten I would rate this book a straight up ten. There are around 5 books in the series and Im currently on the third one which is called The Rise of Nine. Either a boy or girl could read this but It has some mild language and some gore. This book is like syfy and fiction. There is already a movie adaptation of the first book and it is amazing.

It is about a Jewish boy who’s ghetto gets overpowered by Nazis and he goes on from concentration camp to concentration camp but somehow he survives to the end of the war. I would recommend this book if you like historical fiction, but not for people who can’t handle violence. I also think that boys would enjoy this book more then the girls.

Review for Space Case by Stuart Gibbs.

He thought he was going to be famous for a once in a life time adventure to space, he started to notice that it was hard to live in space and wished to go back home. But then, every thing got worse, there was a murder. Every one thought it was an accident, but only person on Moon Base Alpha know that there was no accident, they were living with a murderer.
If you liked this post then go to Follett Shelf or James FDS library to read Space Case, By Stuart Gibbs. This book is full of action, mysteries, humor and much more. I would not recommend this book to people that aren’t interested with these kind of things. But if you did like this intro then this might be the book for you. This book in not in a series.

In the book Artemis Fowl, the author Eoin Colfer does a great job sucking you into the book. When you pick up the book its like you can’t put it down. He is an amazing author. I could picture every thing that was being described, he did a beautiful job making this book. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to people that love mysteries and action, I don’t recommend this book to people who don’t like mysteries or action. If you like romantic stories this is definitely not for you. You do not have to be a certain gender to read this book. What pretty much happens is this little Fairy gets kidnapped while she was restoring her powers. Her team is trying to find her, will she make it out alive…. Read the book to find out. There is also a Play-away.

As the winning season unfolds things behind to change. It’s mostly about when Jordan meets the new girl in school the tight bond unravels and when a tragic accident happened it tears their bond apart! In this book it shows us basketball and brotherhood intertwine to show Josh and Jordan that life doesn’t come with a play-book and, sometimes, it’s not about winning.

Have you ever heard of the book FourMile by Watt Key? Did you now this book was a Maine student book award (nominee from 2014-15)? You should go read this book if you like realistic fiction and violence. Because it’s about a boy named Foster and he knows that his mother’s boyfriend is up to no good. Then one day he was painting a fence when out of nowhere a strange man comes into sight. Then he said that he thinks Dax (the boyfriend) is up to no good to. I think boys would like this book better.

This quarter I read the book Lockdown by Alexander Gordon Smith. It is about a boy named Alex Sawyer who steals money from kids at his school and breaks into houses. He gets framed for murdering his best friend while stealing from a house. He is framed by prison guards. These are not ordinary prison guards from an ordinary prison. They are the guards of Furnace. Furnace is not an ordinary prison though. It is described in the book as hell on Earth. The guards are called black suits. Black suits have superhuman abilities like if they get shot in the leg it will have healed in 2 hours. Of course people on the surface have no idea of what really happens down in furnace. Some nights the blood watch would come and carry inmates away from their cells and mutate them into horrible monsters. Some times they would become black suits. The horrible creatures responsible for this are called wheezers. Wheezers are creatures that seam almost human except that they have gas masks sewn directly into their faces. Thats all I’m going to tell you about the main story because I don’t want to spoil it.

This book is not for young children. I think that kids younger than eleven should not be reading this book. There is a lot of swearing and gore. I think that this book would be for any boy or girl that loves horror, doesn’t mind bad language, and won’t be disgusted by the blood and gore. I picked up this book because I love books about prisons and asylums that do experiments on people that everyone believes is just rotting in a cell. In all there are five books in the series. It never gets boring at all. Its constantly action packed and super hard to put down.
On a scale of ten I would rate this book as a ten. The book can be funny some times too but most of the time its very serious. I personally think that they should make a movie based on this series. It would make a great horror movie.

This quarter I read Allegiant by Veronica Roth. This book was copyrighted in 2013. This book is is the 3rd book in the Divergent series. This book is about people that weren’t like everyone else. People are trying to kill them so they are always on the run. They are divergent so they are rare there is nit a lot of divergent people. The back got me hooked in. My recommendation for this book is if you like action little bit of violence and romance I think this book should be for 5th grade up because it does have a some bad words. My opinion on this book is fairly good I would rate this book a 8.5 out of a ten. My question about this book is will their be more books to this series because I feel Allegiant doesn’t really end there series and same with Four. This is my book talk on Allegiant.

I love the book Through the Woods written by Emily Carroll. It was published in 2014. This book is about 5 short stories. At the end there is a section called “In Conclusion”, where the author sort of connects the stories. There is an introduction at the beginning. All the stories are a little creepy, but I am sure most people can handle it. I recommend this book to 5th graders and up. I think that only 5th graders and up should read this book because some kids might get too scared.

I had a hard time choosing what story I wanted to talk about decided to talk about a book called Pie. The author is Sarah Weeks. It is about a girl named Alice and her Aunt Polly who is famous for her pies in the town of Ipswitch. Aunt Polly has a famous pie crust recipe and in the story Alice and a little help from Charlie. They try to discovery who is trying to steal the recipe. Also I can’t forget about the cat that was Aunt Polly’s. His name is Lardo who Alice has to take care of. If you enjoy mysteries and cooking pies you will love this book. At the end of each chapter there is a pie recipe that Aunt Polly cooks.

Hey have you guys ever read the book Crossover? If not, you should! The book is by Kwame Alexander. It is about two fourteen-year-old twin basketball stars Josh and Jordan wrestle with highs and lows on and off the court as their father ignores his declining health.
Josh and Jordan must come to grips with growing up the on and off the court to realize breaking the rules comes at a terrible price,as their story’s heart stopping climax proves a game-changer for the entire family.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes basketball, I would also recommend this to girls and boys.

The book I read is called “El Deafo”. The author is Cece Bell. This book is a graphic novel and it is about a family of bunnies but it is mostly about, Cece, the main character. She goes deaf in the beginning of the book and her new friends at school don’t accept her the way she is. There is really only one friend she has at a time. As the book goes on she needs glasses and she is sort of embarrassed. And then a new neighbor (a boy) moves in and Cece has a new crush. In the book there are random times where she pretends she is a superhero in her mind and she names herself El Deafo. When there are problems in the book and she fixes them when she is a “superhero”. I like this book because it is about a family of bunnies that have human traits but other than that it is realistic fiction, I really like realistic fiction. I would recommend this book for any gender, but I think it is more of a girly book. I think that if you like realistic fiction but also a little bit of fantasy this would be a great book for you. I also think that if you like a short graphic novel that is an easy read this book would be a great fit for you!

Their mom is the vice principal at their school but as they get older they start to drift apart. It was a really interesting book and I loved the book.

I just finished Legend by Marie Lu, wow what a fabulous book!! If you haven’t read this book you should check it out. The plot is your usual sci fi young adult dystopian society where war and disease ravage the land, the poor are really poor and dying from a plague, and the rich keep getting richer safe from disease. But what’s unique about this book are the two main characters and how the story is woven between their two perspectives. You see Day & June, the two main characters, are on opposite sides of a war and are thrust together as the plot unravels. As the world of Legend unfolds the reader and the two main characters learn of what’s happening at the same time. This creates a connection with both sides of this conflict forcing you to choose sides. When you finish this book you’ll realize, a well as Day & June did, that life isn’t as simple as good guys fighting bad guys, sometimes the lines between friends and enemies are blurred and your world can be turned upside down in an instant.

I’ve been reading Attack on titan Vol. 1 for about a month now, and it is a really great book/manga! It is by Hajime Isayama. The book/manga centers on Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their childhood friend Armin Arlert and how they want to leave the walls and no compared to other parts that is no spoiler.
It is dark fantasy and post-apocalyptic and lots of fighting and action I would definitely recommend this to almost all manga fans because every anime fan and manga fan I know loves it, but I would suggest you get the English version unless you know Japanese.
