Wonder has been chosen as our JFD Community Read for this fall!

It’s time to talk about the ever popular Maine Student Book Award nominees. You’ve seen the books fly off the shelves– Dark Lord, Giants Beware, Fourmile, and more. This week during ELA book browse , I will be asking each class to choose a name for their Maine Student Book Award team. We invite every ELA class at JFDS to send a team of MSBA readers to our First Annual Intra-school MSBA Battle to be held in April!

MSBA details you won’t want to miss…

– All students are welcome to vote in the statewide MSBA Election by reading THREE titles from this year’s list. You can count a title as being “read” if you listened to it being read aloud, or read the book yourself.

– Voting will take place the week of March 24th, 2014

– Any student who reads ALL 40 books will have their name entered in a drawing for a cool gadget! The last two years we gave away Kindles.

– Our MSBA Battle will take place in April! We will have a series of MSBA team meetings scattered throughout the winter–so stay tuned!

– Visit the Maine Student Book Award website for the full list of titles!

Are you going to do the same thing for this year, Mrs.Patterson? The thing about getting to vote in the statewide MSBA Election by reading three titles from this year’s list, and all those other stuff, too? You didn’t do any post about getting to vote in the statewide MSBA Election, or anything like that. And I would like to see it, because, well, it’s sounds interesting to me, at least. And it would be so interesting and fun, to see what’s the results, and to do the Intra-school MSBA Battle. in other words, will you post a post about voting in the statewide MSBA Election by reading three titles from this year’s list, please? Thank you!
