Code Orange is spreading through JFDS!

Posted: June 1, 2011 in Uncategorized

Code Orange is being read by students and teachers across school this spring! Some have been heard making comments like “I can’t put it down,” and “This book gives me the creeps, but I just have to see what happens to Mitty!” Visit the Code Orange page here in Reading Rocks to share your thoughts on the book!

Today we had 15 students stay after school to play the board game, Infection. If you thought Monopoly is fun, then you have to give this a try!

Our next Code Orange activity is on Monday, June 6. This year, the annual Professionals in Science seminar, will revolve around infectious disease.  We will have a scientist, an epidemiologist, an FBI agent and a Native American historian, who will share what they do each day and what they know about infectious diseases like smallpox.
